Golf fans – our Canadian Rockies Golf courses may be closed for the 2012 season, but you can take a peek at how amazing they are through The Golf Channel’s airing of “Our Longest Drive,” a six-part series that starts tonight. The Fairmont Banff Springs, one of our Can Rockies properties, is among the many places featured in the story.
The show catalogues three men on their journey from Chicago to the Arctic Circle to lay the missing person of their usual foursome to rest. They play golf at extraordinary places along the journey, a tribute to their friend whose ashes they carry.
It’s a poignant tale of golf, the bond of golf buddies, and remembering a friend during good times they shared.
The show starts tonight at 10:30 pm eastern, and runs for the next six Tuesdays. The golfers approached us two years ago to play a part in this journey, and we’re happy to see it finally come to light.
