Canadian Rockies Golf Courses Offer Family Course Passes, Free Junior Golf

Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club, one of the inspiring mountain courses found in Alberta’s Canadian Rockies, is inviting golfers to experience the 2014 golf season as a family.

Featuring two new sets of tees with shorter distances and a special “family” scorecard, the club’s new “Family Course Pass” provides a fun way to enjoy each other’s company while learning and playing the game of golf together.

Passes are $299+GST for single adults, $399+GST for couples’ passes and $449+GST for family passes (up to two adults and unlimited children).

Pass holders receive the following, through Sept. 14:

  • Access to the “Family Course” Level 1 or 2 tees any day throughout the season after 6 p.m. (based on tee time availability)
  •  “New to the Game of Golf Orientation Lesson Series” that includes four, 1-hour group clinics covering golf etiquette, rules, knowledge, and basic skill fundamentals  (May 18, May 25, June 1 and June 8,from  4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.).
  • 50% off club rentals throughout the season

Other family-friendly options at Canadian Rockies Golf courses include:

  •  The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course: Juniors play for free after 1 p.m. when accompanied by one full-paying adult.
  •  Canmore Golf & Curling Club: Junior green fees are $45 (regularly $80) and club rentals are free. Juniors also play for free at designated times every Monday.
  •  The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course: Juniors receive 50% off the regular green fee on the Stanley Thompson-designed 18-hole championship course and play for free on the Tunnel Mountain nine-hole course when playing with a paying adult.
  •  Silvertip Golf Course: In addition to the striking 18-hole championship course, golfers can also play “The Short Course,” a par-58 layout with a series of par-3 and par-4 holes, in three hours or less.
