Canadian Rockies Golf would like to address recent weather and the state of our golf courses during this time in Canmore, Kananaskis Country and surrounding regions.

Our first concern is for the safety of our employees, our members, our guests and their families.

We will continue to update this blog and our Facebook page as new information becomes available.

Latest Conditions:  http://emergencyalert.alberta.ca/

Status of Golf Courses:

Canmore Golf & Curling Club: Front nine is open and back nine has a tentative opening for Tuesday, June 25 as standing water continues to recede at the present rate.  There is no damage to the course, equipment or buildings.

Kananaskis Country Golf Course: Both Mt. Kidd and Mt. Lorette are closed for the 2013 season due to significant flooding.  Golfers and groups with confirmed tee times will receive full refunds.

The Fairmont Banff Springs: As of Tuesday, June 25th, all 27 holes are open.  The driving range will open on Wednesday, June 26.

The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge: Open for play and not impacted by the flooding in Canmore or Kananaskis Country.

Silvertip Resort: Reopening 18 holes on Saturday, June 29.

Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club: The front nine is recovering from the floods and is projected to open at the end of the week.  The back nine suffered significant flooding and will take time for the water to recede.  Anticipated opening is in two weeks.

We encourage residents and visitors to remain safe and smart through flooded areas.  We will continue to keep you posted of any changes ASAP.

Please be reminded that many courses remain open and the status of each course may change within a moment’s notice.  We’re committed to keep you informed.

Thank you.
